Vaccinations

 

Influenza

  • Influenza vaccination has shown to decrease absenteeism and improve productivity for businesses which offer employee vaccination programs
  • Onsite workplace programs are available (see enquiries for further information)
  • Clinics are conducted at times convenient for the employer
  • Influenza vaccines will be available at all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services. (except Marion Council)
  • Those members of the community who are eligible for free Influenza vaccines (see SA Health) at all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services.

Hepatitis A
For staff who work in the areas of:

  • Sewerage
  • Food preparation
  • Disability workers who work with incontinent clients
  • Health care workers
  • Childcare workers
  • Those members of the community who require Hepatitis A vaccines, can access at all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services. (except Marion Council)

Hepatitis B 
For staff who are at significant risk of hepatitis B infection:

  • Healthcare workers
  • Custodial environments
  • Childcare workers
  • For staff who work with clients who pose a risk of Hepatitis A & B to employees
  • Those members of the community who require Hepatitis B vaccines, can access at all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services. (except Marion Council)

Tetanus, Diphtheria & Whooping Cough

  • Employees who work with clients who are at significant risk of whooping cough
  • Healthcare workers
  • Childcare workers
  • Those members of the community who require Tetanus Diphtheria & Whooping Cough  (dTpa) vaccines, can access all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services. (except Marion Council) at a cost.
  • Pregnant women over 28 weeks gestation can access free dTpa vaccines at all of the Council Clinics where HAIMS provides vaccination services.
